Oh Happy Day

Nice weather means...new roof!

It is finally time to get our new roof! The house was damaged almost a year ago and tomorrow is the big day! A brand new roof!!! Granted we still have much more in the insurance claim to fix, this is definitely a great start after a long battle with the insurance company.
Nick will have something very shinny to come back to. My family has been helping me get the house decorated for Nick to return. I am very proud to say I upholstered our kitchen chairs this weekend. I am feeling like a natural Susie-Homemaker! :) Nick will be so thrilled (maybe not so much about chairs or decor, but to have a wife who can cook and do the feminine things).

  1. I love how excited you were about your new roof. And you should be – a damaged roof leaves a house extremely vulnerable. I do hope that you were able to fix everything with the insurance claim, so that you were able to save money on getting your roof replaced.

  2. Uh-oh, it’s not usually good to leave damages unrepaired for a year. It’s a good thing you got a brand new roof though. The new roof must’ve been quite a welcome for Nick. That’s all a family man could really ask for – a stable house with strong protection.

  3. I can imagine how excited you were that time! Excited of how the house would look and the peace of mind that you will have after it's done.
