Some Days You're Thankful

I had the best moment today. I was stuck behind a school bus in our neighborhood this afternoon and watched this Dad walk up to the door. Doors open and he reaches inside and pulls out this mess of hair, fluffy winter jacket, and over sized snow boots...aka his son. The boy wraps his arms around this big burly man of a Dad and is carried away. Then a Mom comes up the sidewalk and two more kiddos get off and grab each one of her hands and start their walk home. I don't know why this touched me, but it was one of those sweet and still moments that just makes you thankful to live in this wonderful country. That to me is the essence of the American dream/life.
